Urban Combatives was originally formulated in 1999 by Lee Morrison. Through the years, a handful of people have successfully passed out as Urban Combatives instructors to pass on this curriculum.

Urban Combatives Croydon was established in 2008 by first generation UC instructor Steve Tomkins. After six years of running the club Steve moved away from the area, leaving the classes in the hands of UC instructor Tom Flint. Steve is still an active combatives instructor, now teaching out of Urban Combatives Devon

Urban Combatives Croydon has trained individual members of various UK police forces, door supervisors, anti-piracy operatives, business executives, Krav Maga instructors, and senior grades in the martial arts to enhance their combative efficiency and self-protection skills and abilities.

We have also trained many people who have been on the receiving end of violence (mugging, attempted rape and abduction, domestic violence, gang violence etc) and who do not wish that experience repeated.
